Earth Day

  • Past Event Date: April 22, 2023
  • Colonie Center

  • Each child will be given 1 pot, some soil, and some seeds.
  • We have a limited amount of items.
  • No registration necessary.

Although humans and plants have their own specific life cycle, all life cycles are the same in that they begin with birth and end with death. Growth and reproduction are two main components of life cycles between plants and humans. Caring for a plant requires it to be watered, given the right amount of sunlight and of course room to grow. Much like a person, if we want to survive, we require food, water and oxygen.

With the use of pots, seeds, soil, gardening shovels and gloves we can demonstrate to children, the giving of life.

Bring your family over to Colonie Center and plant some seeds with the Lions Eye Bank of the Northeast!

If your organization or Lions Club would like to join us this day or you would like to be a sponsor, please email info@lebnortheast.org for more information
